Thoughts on Labor Day

It’s Labor Day this weekend and the summer of 2021 slowly comes to an end

It’s time for another transition, from summer to fall

Aspen trees will turn golden yellow in the Rocky Mountains as they prepare for winter

Leaves will change colors and leave their trees who in turn will shed their bark

Transitions are an interesting phase, with us not here nor there

Change is intriguing as it brings clarity to the impermanence of all things

Change is the Truth. Transition is the Confirmation.

Hurdles and challenges are bound to continue

How we navigate through them matters

The pandemic lingers and wars continue to be deadly

This summer has been tough and heavy

Dedicate this Labor Day to those who have served selflessly for us

Renew our spirit and sense of rugged independence in thought and action
